Technical session cookies
Laravel uses session and security cookies to protect requests and associate a private result with its browser session. Cookieless analytics does not mean the entire website uses no cookies.
Matomo analytics
We use Matomo at analytics.pietropetrocchi.it with tracking cookies disabled before page tracking starts. Page visits and link interactions are measured. The application also records aggregate daily page-view counts. This setting does not assert that all analytics data, including IP addresses, is anonymised.
Browser controls and access to results
You can inspect and remove cookies using the settings of your browser. Removing the technical session cookie can disconnect this browser from analyses it started: a result address alone does not restore access. Download any result you need before clearing that session. Opening a public guide or reading a tool description does not require you to submit a website for analysis. The Matomo setting described above concerns tracking cookies; it is separate from the session and request security mechanisms used by Laravel. Requests made to a website during a scan come from the service server. They do not forward the browser cookies that keep you signed in to that website. Cookies and downloaded files are different kinds of browser storage. Removing a session cookie does not remove an XML export from your Downloads folder, revoke a copy you sent elsewhere or change a sitemap you published on your own hosting. Review those copies separately when you no longer need them. Browser controls may offer deletion for a single website or for all websites; choosing a wider deletion can affect unrelated signed-in services. A private browsing window normally has its own separate cookie context, so it should not be used as a way to recover an earlier result. If a request is refused after you change browser storage, open the tool again to establish a fresh session before starting another analysis. The site does not need your password for the website you want to inspect.
