About this service
SitemapXML is a free service for generating and inspecting public XML sitemaps. Location: Switzerland. No account or payment is required.
Use the tools responsibly
Only analyse websites and XML that you are authorised to process. Do not use the service to bypass access restrictions, overload websites or submit confidential information. Automated use is subject to the same resource and rate limits as browser use.
Check results before publishing
Results can be incomplete and do not certify SEO quality, indexability or compliance with every sitemap specification. Review the report and exported URLs before publishing. You are responsible for uploading, maintaining and submitting the generated file on your own website.
From an analysis to a published sitemap
Choose the generator to discover links, the checker to inspect XML structure, or the extractor to collect addresses from an existing sitemap. Read exclusions and limit notices before exporting. A successful scan describes what the tool could process during that run; it is not a complete inventory of a website or proof that Google can index every page. Check the canonical domain, missing pages and redirects against your own site. Downloading XML does not upload it to your hosting or submit it to a search engine. Publish the reviewed file yourself, verify its public address, then use Search Console or the sitemap declaration in robots.txt. Review the file again when your website changes. When reviewing a report, distinguish a response code from an eligibility decision. A page returning 200 can still be excluded because it declares noindex or names another canonical address. A blocked robots.txt path is skipped without inventing an HTTP response. Duplicate locations, malformed XML and invalid modification dates require different corrections from a missing resource or a timeout. Check individual entries and use the filters to inspect the relevant outcome. CSV export and clipboard actions include the filtered rows, while the on-screen table can display only a subset. Keep an original copy of a working sitemap before replacing it, and confirm the new file remains publicly accessible afterwards.
